Therefore for us at the Ondangwa Town Council, customer service is crucial to the growth of our vision business. We are committed to ensuring that customer service excellence forms an integral part of the planning, resourcing and delivery of our services.

Mr. Kandyimbi Nauyoma

 

The Department is responsible for road construction and maintenance, sidewalk construction and maintenance, streetlights, sanitary sewer collection system, water distribution system, and waste management. This department is also responsible dealing with all matters relating to engineering, subdivision and site plan development, plan review and agreement preparation. This department is managed by the Technical Services Executive. The department has various divisions that are managed by supervisors, who report to the two chiefs. The department is also responsible for development projects.

EXECUTIVE

 

 

 

Mrs. Hardley Rudolfine

The finance department is headed by Mrs. Rudolfine, and the objective of the department is to account to at Ondangwa Town Council, to perform all the finance related activities. The finance department has overall responsibility and accountability in the following areas: compiling operational and capital budget controlling and managing of revenue and debts collection controlling and managing of expenditures and procurement policy investment and internet banking system tax related matters Tender Board Regulations and Compiling of Financial Statements. The vision of this department is to ensure that OTC is recognized as one of the best financial managed, well resources town in the country. And the mission is to provide professional customer centric financial services and ensure effectiveness budget control and execution.

Mrs. Emelia Shidove

The HR division falls under the finance department here the finance executive is seen with the supporting staff in the HR Administrative. The human resources division assists all other departments with their staffing, benefits administration and training.

 

Vacant or new positions are advertised through national newspapers. The division of Human Resources seeks to develop and administer innovative programs for personnel management that are fair, equitable, based solely on merit, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

 

Mrs. Kandi Iihuhua

Mrs. Iihuhua is the Local Economic Development Office, she is responsible for division to provide advice to local and international investors.  Other tasks include providing a community support service with regards to senior citizens, the young, and other social requirements, while increasing and strengthening employment opportunities and business development in the town. Services include business development, tourism promotion and development, public libraries and the local museum.

Mr. Paulus Ndjodhi

The Environment Health & Safety Department is mainly responsible for maintaining and improving health and environmental conditions for the town and its population. The department deal with issues such as health and environmental inspection and disease fighting, secondly the department also deals with health and environment awareness and gardening and abattoirs.

 

The department also comprises of HIV/AIDS section that is being administered by internal volunteers and the main objective of the section is to impart knowledge as well as disseminating information about HIV/AIDS to the employees of the council as well as the public at large. The section has a task force that consist volunteers that has been designated from various divisions within the council. The aim and objectives of the task force is to distribute condoms, to give information regarding TB, ARV, STI’s, and behavioral change.
