The mandate of the Ondangwa town council derives from Article 1 and Chapter 12 of the Namibian Constitution, and the Local Authorities Act, 1992, (Act 23 of 1992) as amended.
The location of Ondangwa makes the town a natural gateway of the Northern Regions (Oshana, Oshikoto, Ohangwena and Omusati) including the neighboring Angola.
Ondangwa is having a wide investment of opportunity, as most of the products in these regions are imported.
Availability of land and a growing population, the perfect location of the town and the commitment of council to invest in infrastructural developments makes Ondangwa an ideal investment centre for Agriculture, Manufacturing, Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises and Tourism sectors.
